Scientific Migrants against Racism (France)

THEY ARE ALL THE SAME…

BECAUSE THEIR POLICIES BENEFIT THE SAME ONES!

They provoke the question of identity to avoid the social question.

Their objective is to sow hatred and feelings of insecurity, and behind this lies a purely neoliberal reality…

As scientific migrants, we want to bring our testimony.

Although the scope may seem specific, it relates to all workers:

  • Every year, considerable quotas of foreign students are imported to continue their higher education in France, and this is in a totally legal and institutional framework since years;
  • After freshly graduated, the people resulting from this process must find a job as soon as possible to be able to stay in France, otherwise they receive an “Obligation de Quitter le Territoire Français”… (OQTF for short, or simply GTFO)!
  • Those who wish to obtain long-stay papers and integrate into French society need a permanent job. To balance the discrimination, their salary claims are minimal, they are willing to work hard, and lead an individualized life that neutralizes them;
  • This policy is not new, it is a continuation of the one carried out in the 70’s with labor migrants.

Nowadays the system leads a very aggressive policy against immigration and ignores all the contradictions linked to the colonial past. They even use this racist policy to reassure the citizens in misery, and make them believe that the policies protect them from foreigners who steal their work.

If the social rights of the citizen were the priority, there would be no reason to stifle any attempt of popular struggle by violent police repression and there would not be such a setback in social rights in France.

What is the use of bringing a puppet to make the show in the media, to normalize the speeches of hate, and to push the wall of fascism always further…

… if it is not to impose the vote “Macron by default” to avoid the “worst”?

Let’s unite, let’s stop believing in their games!

Against neoliberal democracy;

Against the destruction of social France;

Against the denial of the colonial past!
